Everyone remembers his or her first Doctor (especially if the 2005 reincarnation of the famous British series was that person’s initial exposure to a world infested with Daleks and Cybermen).
With the arrival of Dr. Who’s golden anniversary, BBC One will air a very special episode on Saturday, Nov. 23. In anticipation of the big event, the BBC and BBC Worldwide have rolled out the marketing red carpet. Created by ZAG, the consultancy arm of ad agency BBH, the digital campaign is summarized below by Marketing Magazine:
“A dedicated site houses an interactive TARDIS that acts as a hub for fans to show their support for the Doctor. The site shows a 3D, spinning golden version of the time machine that lets fans explore content being tagged online with #SaveTheDay, while people can use the hashtag to add their own content to mix through Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.”
Pretty cool, right? While this sophisticated PR tool may be a bit tricky to replicate, there are other ways to capture a piece of the Dr. Who magic and, in turn, impress your Whovian clients. Check out these 3 promotional products, found on promomarketing.com.
Tom Baker is often cited as a favorite Doctor. But more importantly, he is known for his scarf sensibilities. Help clients channel their inner T.B. with this 100 percent acrylic knit striped rugby scarf from WOV-IN.
Thanks to Matt Smith, “bow ties are cool.” This custom printed banded bow tie from Harstan Ties & Accessories is perfect for dressing up wardrobes around the globe.
What Dr. Who viewing party would be complete without a piping hot cup of tea? Loose leaf organi tea from Simple Tea offers handcrafted rare organic or premium loose organic tea in a mid-sized tin. Milk or no milk is left to your discretion.
